My name is Jackie Huddleston and I live near Cambridge in the UK.
I first started breeding Maine Coons in 1991 but stopped in 2001 due to pressures of work, family and cat breeding all becoming too much to manage and now after a brief return I have decided to retire permanently. I am still working with my daughter-in-law Michelle of Micatta Maine Coons.
I am now retired and all children have left home and have families of their own! All of my children live quite close (some closer than others) and I see them and my 9 Grandchildren regularly.
We have decided to test all our breeding cats with the new mycatdna test which gives a very comprehensive report. This report shows not only the status of any DNA disorders known or thought to occur in the breed but also the status of all known DNA disorders that can currently be tested. The report also gives us a Genetic Diversity percentage and details of traits such as which gene’s the cat carries for example solid and dilute.
My prefix in GCCF & WCF is Jakatta and in TICA is Jackatta.
